Bio
Pastor Bill was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at age 16 and immediately started a lifelong pursuit of studying God’s word. At age 18 he began a military career that spanned 29 years, starting in the U.S. Coast Guard followed by 21 years in the Air National Guard, retiring in 2012. In 2024, Pastor Bill and his wife Leah (married 36 years in 2026) started a home church in Davenport, WA. After a year of growth this home church expanded and by God’s mighty hand then joined together with 1 st Presbyterian Church of Davenport to form the Davenport Evangelical Church (DEC). ALL ABOUT JESUS
What We Believe
Our congregation follows the faith credo “In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity”.

In essentials, unity:
Christians must agree on the core teachings of the faith, such as the divinity of Christ and salvation through Christ alone.

In non-essentials, liberty:
Believers have freedom to disagree on secondary matters like styles of worship.

In all things, charity:
Above all, every interaction must be guided by Christian love, kindness, and goodwill.

THE CHURCH
Who We Are
Our Church is located in the beautiful wheat country of Eastern Washington, we call it “God’s Country”. We are a local Christian Evangelical Church formed by the merger (2026) between an Evangelical Free Home Church (2024) and the established Davenport Evangelical Presbyterian Church (1884).
With the leading of God’s Spirit this body of Christ came together to form a dynamic and growing congregation. We have a blended contemporary and traditional worship style. Davenport Evangelical Church’s (DEC) name describes us well. We are evangelical in our zeal for the Gospel message, fulfilling the “Great Commission” that Jesus implemented, discipleship of believers, supporting missions, and living obediently as followers of Jesus.
We are an affiliate of the Evangelical Free Church of America ( efca.org) in the Inland Mountain District of the EFCA (inland-mountain.districts.efca.org).
We hope you will come join us in worship on Sunday mornings!
